Low Carbon Dorset Helping reduce Dorset's footprint

Low carbon Dorset

We hear a lot these days about the need to transition to a low carbon economy in order to reduce our greenhouse gas emissions and help tackle climate change.

Low Carbon Dorset is a five year programme of activities to help stimulate growth in Dorset’s low carbon economy and reduce the county’s footprint.

We offer FREE technical support and grant funding for energy efficiency and renewable energy projects.

Funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF), Low Carbon Dorset helps businesses, community, and public sector organisations in Dorset, Bournemouth and Poole.

The programme is run by Dorset Council (DC) and the Dorset Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). It aims to help improve your energy efficiency, increase the use of renewable energy, and aid the development of new low carbon products.

‘The amount of help and advice that we received from Low Carbon Dorset was incredible.’

We've worked with lots of inspiring Dorset businesses who are taking action to cut emissions - and now's the time to be recognised as the Net Zero Heroes you are! https://orlo.uk/heroes-of-net-zero-competition_iTVGb

As part of the UK Government’s #TogetherForOurPlanet campaign, they want to celebrate small businesses taking the most innovative action to go green and cut emissions in their *Heroes of Net-Zero Competition*.

Small businesses (under 50 staff) have until 6th Oct to enter the competition - simply share and describe the actions your business has been taking for a chance to attend the crucial #COP26 climate conference in Glasgow and win an exclusive prize package to help develop and grow your business.

You can enter on the #BusinessClimateHub website 👉 https://orlo.uk/heroes-of-net-zero-competition_k0ojm
